Dedicated to Nala Liec Ngo
Honestly, writing and working on has been g'damn difficult and healing at the same time, and at different times. But this here serves as a glimpse into the many streams of consciousness that I've chronicled over the past few months. I invite you to take your time to experience my thoughts and feelings, in their raw, unfiltered, unfinished, and imperfect forms, and extend a reinvitation to you to come back in the future to bear witness to the life Nala and I shared, and my exploration of grief and growth.
Thank you, for being here with us.
Grief is something that we carry with us forever. While experienced in many different ways, expressed in different forms, it's fundamentally rooted in love and care for someone or something. This website is one of the many shapes I've began piecing together as I continue to work on piecing myself back together, and plays off a pun on "briefcases" - to symbolize permanence rather than brevity, and materialize the weight of the emotional baggage we hold within each and every one of us in, in hopes that we can all find growth, from grief.
"Blue feels like a very beautiful color to me - light and uplifting, but in music it's typically utilized as an extremely dark, downward emotion."- Allen Stone
Going off of Allen Stone's quote, I wanted to use blue for this site's color theme for many reasons. There's so much symbolism tied to the color blue, and I simply wanted to explore and express what the color means to me.
